It was a hectic few weeks as Republican candidates quickly launched their campaigns, put up websites, attended multiple events, participated in candidate forums, and tried to connect with as many 11th District voters as possible in less than a month. We were thrilled to have such an outstanding group of candidates vying to be the Republican nominee. Many thanks to Stewart, along with fellow candidates Karina Lipsman, Mike Van Meter, Lucas Rand, Sam Wong, Nathan Headrick and Arthur Purves for running such enthusiastic yet respectful races. We look forward to working with all of them to help Stewart Whitson win in September and put an end to the 16 year stranglehold the Democrats have had on the 11th Congressional District.
During 2 days of voting – Early Voting on Friday, June 27th and the Firehouse Primary on Saturday, June 28th – 2601 Republican voters made their voices heard. The optimism and excitement of our voters made the process fun, and they had last-minute chances to speak with and hear from the candidates throughout the day on Saturday, before casting their ballots.

The September 9th Special Election is an incredible opportunity to flip this seat in Congress, but it is also an important first step for Republicans to start winning again in Fairfax County. This race will bring national attention to the 11th District, because as much as Republicans want to finally flip this seat, Democrats desperately want to hold onto it.
