This notice describes information handled through 11cdgop.org, the website of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee.
Information you provide
When you sign up for email updates, volunteer, or make a donation, we receive the information you choose to submit in the form. Depending on the form, this can include your name, email address, phone number, address or ZIP code, volunteer interests and availability, messages, donation amount and frequency, and occupation or employer if you provide them. We use these details to respond to requests, coordinate volunteer activities, maintain contribution records, process donations, and send committee communications.
Form records and committee notifications
Submitted forms are recorded in WordPress through Gravity Forms. Records may also include submission time, the page used to submit the form, browser information, and an IP address, depending on the form and system settings. Donation records may include payment status, transaction or subscription identifiers, and the authorization you submitted.
For committee follow-up and recordkeeping, donation and volunteer notifications containing the submitted non-card form responses are emailed to Braynardbackup@gmail.com. Donation notifications can also report subsequent payment and subscription events. Full payment-card numbers and security codes are not included in these committee notification messages.
Payments
Stripe processes one-time and recurring donations. Payment details are entered through Stripe-hosted payment fields. Stripe receives the payment details and information needed to process the transaction, while the website receives payment results and reference identifiers used to maintain the donation record. Do not enter payment-card numbers or security codes in a message or other general text field.
Email updates
Email addresses submitted through the website are added to the committee’s email list as disclosed on the form. Of the information you enter in the form, the website’s Sendy integration sends only your email address to Sendy; it does not send your other form responses to the mailing list. Sendy manages the list, and email delivery uses Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Delivery and subscription status are used to maintain email delivery.
You can unsubscribe from email updates using the unsubscribe link in an email. For questions about your email subscription, contact info@11cdgop.org.
Browser storage and cookies
The newsletter invitation uses first-party browser local storage and cookies to remember that the invitation has been shown or that the signup has been completed, and to avoid showing it repeatedly across pages or tabs. These invitation flags do not contain your submitted email address. Clearing browser data or using another browser can cause the invitation to appear again. WordPress also uses cookies for sign-in and authenticated website administration.
