FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fairfax, Virginia — The 11th Congressional District Republicans are pleased to announce significant leadership changes following their recent convention. Rosie Oakley has been elected as the new Chair, succeeding Michael Ginsberg. The convention, which was notably attended by 270 voting delegates also saw the election of new members to the Republican Party of Virginia’s (RPV) State Central Committee.
“I am profoundly honored to step into the role of Chair for the 11th Congressional District Republicans, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mike Ginsberg for his dedicated leadership,” said Rosie Oakley. “The support and confidence given to me by our delegates are both humbling and energizing as we move forward to retire Tim Kaine and Gerry Connolly.”
In addition to Rosie Oakley’s new role, the convention delegates chose Nick Andersen, Matt Braynard, and Steve Rogers to represent the 11th District on the State Central Committee. Steve Hunt was also elected as the Presidential Elector from the district.
Adding to the significance of the event, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares attended the convention, where he received an energetic welcome and a standing ovation for his remarks. His presence highlighted the strong support and unity within the Party as it gears up for key electoral battles, beginning with the June 18th Primaries for Senate and Congressional Candidates.
Rosie Oakley emphasized the critical phase ahead for the party: “Now is the time for us to unite and organize more vigorously than ever. Our focus is clear—we are committed to securing victories in the upcoming November elections. It is imperative that we work together to uphold the values that our community stands for.”
