Congressman Gerry Connolly is at it again – this time using his position to target conservative tech entrepreneur Elon Musk while ignoring real problems facing Americans.
According to FedScoop, Connolly and fellow Democrat Shontel Brown sent a letter to White House officials expressing “serious concerns about the recent installation of Starlink internet service in the executive branch complex.” They’re demanding documents about “the legality of using the service, terms of the donation, and more details about internet service issues at the White House.”
The article quotes Connolly directly: “Donations such as this raise considerable red flags as to whether Mr. Musk is using his position in the federal government to benefit his companies. His dual position as the recipient of federal contracts and a White House advisor creates a troubling and obvious conflict of interest.”
But where was Connolly’s concern about conflicts of interest when the Biden family was making millions from foreign governments? Where was his worry about national security when our southern border was wide open?
This is selective outrage at its worst. Connolly is using his power to target a prominent conservative voice while ignoring real threats to our nation. He’s more concerned with Elon Musk donating internet service than addressing inflation, crime, and the border crisis that affect everyday Americans.
In 2026, voters will have a chance to elect a representative who prioritizes real issues over political vendettas.
