James Walkinshaw just announced he’s running for re-election. But before you cast your vote, ask yourself: what has this guy actually done for Northern Virginia?
Instead of addressing local problems, Walkinshaw flew to Minnesota to hold “field hearings” attacking ICE during Operation Metro Surge. He called lawful immigration enforcement a “cruel mass deportation machine” and posed for cameras with Tim Walz—the same governor whose state descended into chaos while federal agents tried to remove violent criminals.
Meanwhile, what’s happening right here in VA-11?
Last December, Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano’s office dropped charges against an illegal alien from El Salvador—Marvin Morales-Ortez—who had been arrested for malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm. The very next day, a man was found shot dead in his Northern Virginia home. Fox News DHS officials said Fairfax County’s “sanctuary politicians have blood on their hands.”
Has Walkinshaw said one word about this? Not a chance.
And after Winter Storm Fern dumped over a foot of snow and ice on our community, many Fairfax neighborhoods remain snowed in more than two weeks later. Local supervisors describe the frozen mess as “snowcrete” FFXnow that’s still blocking streets and sidewalks. Maybe if Democrat politicians weren’t so busy “resisting” the Trump administration, Fairfax could get the federal assistance it needs.
Walkinshaw’s own words tell you everything: “I would fight for Virginia families, defend our democracy by putting a check on the reckless Trump Administration,” Blue Virginia he said in his re-election announcement.
Translation? He’s running to be the “resistance”—not your representative.
