About 2 weeks ago, I attended a legislative Town Hall in McLean, hosted by State Senator Jennifer Boysko and Delegate Rip Sullivan. They provided overviews of their agendas for the 2026 General Assembly session and then took questions from the audience. The very last question asked was “What’s the end goal of redistricting VA?” Neither Boysko nor Sullivan gave a direct answer, but, shockingly, the audience members started yelling at the person who asked the question with responses like, “Trump started it” and “It’s your fault.” Welcome to Democrat rule in Virginia. Don’t you dare open your mouth if you disagree with anything the No Kings crowd has to say.
Currently, of its 11 Congressional Districts, Virginia has six Democrat-held districts and five Republican-held districts. The Democrats want to redistrict Virginia, so there will be 10 Democrat-held district and one Republican-held district. Both the House of Delegates and State Senate in Richmond voted to redistrict on DAY ONE of last week’s General Assembly session.
The Democrats’ proposed redistricting plan would give them a 10-1 advantage in Congress. What does that mean to Republicans in Virginia, who represent about 50% of the electorate? We lose our voice!! Look at the states below that have a significant number of Republicans in their states, but NOT ONE seat in Congress.

Competition Rules:
1. A Patriot may sign up more than once provided they pledge different activities
2. Door knocks and phone calls must be made through the Pulsar app with accounts verified by the RPV. We will provide training.
3. A Letter to the Editor must be published in a Virginia publication, verified by RPV
4. Social media posts must tag RPV and include the hashtag #stopgerrymandering, and the topic must be the Constitutional Referendum on gerrymandering with an emphasis on showing up to vote, probably in April.
In the next couple of months, you’ll be hearing much more about this outrageous attempt to subvert the Virginia Constitution, which stipulates that redistricting shall occur once every 10 years. This Democrat power play that will be decided at the ballot box, probably in April. The 500,000+ Virginia Republicans who voted for Trump in 2024, but failed to vote last November had better roll off their sofas and get actively involved in this statewide effort to stop redistricting. Otherwise, we’ll be repeating history – Taxation without Representation!
