Let’s Finish 2025 with a Republican Win!
On December 9, there is a Special Election in the Braddock District to fill the open seat of James Walkinshaw on the Board of Supervisors.
It’s been a tough year for Republicans in Fairfax County, but we have an opportunity to end on a high note, by electing Ken Balbuena as the Braddock Supervisor.
Every year, Fairfax County residents are hit with higher real estate and car taxes, an ongoing bag tax, and starting January 1, the 4% meals tax goes into effect. The Board of Supervisors is 100% responsible for every tax increase in Fairfax County, with a predictable 9-1 vote. The Democrats keep talking about “affordability”, yet they are ones making Fairfax County unaffordable.
Did you know that when Springfield Supervisor Pat Herrity makes a motion to bring up an idea or topic, Democrats on the Board typically won’t second his motion? That means his ideas for Fairfax County are never heard, discussed, or even considered.
Pat desperately needs an ally on the Board of Supervisors and Fairfax County needs another voice. Ken Balbuena is that person. True, it’s just one seat, but we have to start changing the make-up of the Board of Supervisors, and this Special Election is a great first step.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If you are a Braddock District resident, vote at the Fairfax County Government Center on weekdays from 8:00am-4:30pm. Starting on Saturday, November 29 through Saturday, December 6, you can vote early at both the Fairfax County Gov’t Center and the Burke Centre Library. For more information, including days and hours, click here: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/elections/early-voting.
Are your college kids or grandkids home for Thanksgiving?
Praying they haven’t been brainwashed by the Left, please encourage them to stop by the Fairfax Gov’t Center next week, November 24-26 or Saturday, November 29 to vote. Early Voting will not be available on Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28, because the office is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. If they can’t vote in person, have them apply for an absentee ballot, using the link above.
Not sure if you can vote in this special election? Check to see if you live in the Braddock District and can vote for Ken: https://fairfaxgop.org/voter-info/
Ken’s team is knocking on Braddock doors every Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm and Sundays from 1:00-4:00pm. There are also phone banking and texting opportunities to help from home. It’s super easy to make calls or text, but it’s an important piece of our Get Out the Vote effort. For more information, contact Valerie at vwohlleben@gmail.com.
It takes money to run for office, and every little bit helps Ken print yard signs, palm cards, and send mailers. Please visit Ken’s website at https://www.kenforbraddock.com and make a donation – $5, $50, or more. When you’re going up against a well-funded Democrat machine, every little bit helps.
Speaking of signs, if you would like a Ken Balbuena yard sign, stop by the Fairfax GOP office, 4246 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, Monday through Friday between 10:00am-4:00pm.
Thanksgiving is next week, and Ken’s Special Election is just three weeks from today. This is our last chance in 2025 to pick up a Republican win for Fairfax County. We deserve it, but it won’t happen unless we all pitch in and get involved in this important election. Ken’s win would be a win for all of Fairfax County. Please step up today!
Three weeks from today–on Tuesday, December 9–Braddock District voters have the opportunity to finish the year with a Republican win and to bring common-sense, fiscally responsible leadership to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
