The First 50 Days Are in the Books!
It’s hard to believe that President Trump has only been in office for 50 days. He’s done more in that short period of time than Joe Biden did in four years. On Monday, the White House released a list of 50 Wins in 50 Days. The accomplishments are extensive, and we know the President and his stellar team are just getting started. Check out the complete list here: President Trump’s First 50 Days. So much winning!!
I encourage you to sign up for emails from WhiteHouse.gov, like the “50 Wins in 50 Days” article above. You won’t be bombarded with messages, but you will be up to speed on what the President is doing, including photos from various White House events. Sign up here: https://www.whitehouse.gov
There was more good news on Monday. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that after six weeks of investigation by DOGE, 83% of the programs funded by USAID are being cancelled. This represents 5200 contracts totaling tens of BILLIONS of dollars. The remaining 1000 programs that USAID will continue to fund will be managed by the State Department, which means greater oversight. You can read more about this here: 5200 USAID Contracts are Terminated
Just a week ago, President Trump addressed a joint session of Congress. Our 11th District Congressman, Gerry Connolly, announced in advance that he would not be attending. How unfortunate that elected officials can’t at least respect the position and show up to represent their constituents, even if they personally disagree with the President. I don’t recall any Republican House or Senate members boycotting President Biden’s speeches, even though they were absolutely dreadful. Unfortunately, bad behavior on “the other side of the aisle” has become the norm.
During President Trump’s speech, Democrats proudly held up silly signs, while refusing to stand and applaud for a 13-year-old cancer survivor, DJ Daniel; recently released prisoner Marc Fogel and his mother; Laken Riley’s family; Jocelyn Nungaray’s mother; Corey Comperatore’s family; and many more who have overcome adversity and endured heartbreak. It was a pathetic demonstration of extreme partisanship by a group of people who are so consumed by hatred that they have lost their humanity.
Our nation is in good hands. Please continue to pray for the safety of President Trump, his family, Cabinet members, and all those working to Make America Great Again.
