Stewart Whitson became the 11th Congressional District Republican nominee 17 days ago, on June 28. Early voting starts in just ten days on July 25, and the Special Election is 8 weeks from today on Tuesday, September 9. Time is flying.
The campaign has been in overdrive with numerous interviews, special events, door knocking, and various opportunities for 11th District voters to meet and hear from our candidate. Stewart will be at the Winsome Sears event this afternoon in McLean and speaking at the Fairfax GOP meeting tonight at 7:00pm at Fairfax High School. Come hear from this outstanding candidate.
So far, there are three opportunities for Stewart and his opponent, Democrat James Walkinshaw, to meet and debate the issues. Our nominee has agreed to all of them – in his words: anytime and anywhere. However, Walkinshaw is still a maybe. Hopefully he won’t pull a “Joe in the Basement” routine on 11th District voters, who deserve to hear from both.
Here is a link to an interview Stewart did last week on WTOP, which clearly establishes his priorities and positions compared to his opponent, Democrat James Walkinshaw.
Yesterday, Stewart was on WMAL Larry O’Connor’s show, voicing his strong support for protecting girl’s sports and women’s spaces. You can hear that here.
Pick up a Stewart Whitson yard sign from the Republican table at your closest Farmers Market or at the Fairfax GOP office on MWF from 10:00am-4:00pm at 4246 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax. And be sure and follow the action on Facebook and X ! Time to flip the seat!
CHECK OUT THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WHITSON AND WALKINSHAW. THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE IN COMMON IS THE FIRST LETTER OF THEIR LAST NAMES!
