WOW! What President Trump and his team have accomplished and uncovered since he took office at noon on January 20 is nothing short of extraordinary. Remember when it was a big deal to summarize the accomplishments of a new Administration in its first 100 days? Let’s recap a few highlights from the first 16 days of Donald Trump’s return to the Oval Office.

President Trump has been busy!

  • Pardoned January 6th prisoners
  • Pulled out of the World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords
  • Started mass deportations of illegal criminal immigrants
  • Ordered Federal employees back to the office by February 6th or resign
  • Shuttered DEI programs
  • Fired 18 Inspectors General
  • Threatened tariffs against Canada, Mexico and China
  • Retrieved 6 American hostages from Venezuela
  • Quickly forced Panama to end their agreement with China
  • Fired J6 prosecutors
  • Relieved top FBI officials of their posts
  • Banned personal pronouns from Government emails
  • Plans to dismantle the Department of Education
  • Securing our borders – illegal crossings are down 63% in 2 weeks
  • Halted funding to UNRWA
  • Established a DOJ Task Force to Combat Antisemitism
  • Dropped the prosecution of Dr. Eithan Haim, the whistleblower who revealed that Texas Children’s Hospital was continuing to perform transgender surgeries, contrary to its public statements

Meanwhile, Elon Musk, with the full support of President Trump, is causing Democrat heads to explode across America. With the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has been tasked with cutting costs, and in the process, he is exposing fraud. Over the weekend, Musk dug into USAID and found some shocking examples of waste. Much of the media immediately jumped into the fray to insist that USAID provides humanitarian aid worldwide, and if President Trump cuts funding, women and children will starve. Yesterday, it was announced that USAID spent $1.5 million to advance DEI in Serbia; $2.5 million on electric vehicles for Vietnam; $2 million for sex changes and LGBT activism in Guatemala; $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt; hundreds of millions of dollars to support poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan; and $32,000 for distribution of a trans comic book in Peru. Does this sound like humanitarian aid? Check out more outrageous USAID expenditures here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/uncategorized/2025/02/at-usaid-waste-and-abuse-runs-deep/

Not only are President Trump and DOGE ending wasteful use of taxpayer dollars, he is cutting off an essential lifeline for progressive NGOs and activist organizations. Progressives have turned government agencies like USAID into money laundering operations, using taxpayer dollars to fund progressive NGOs and activists to execute progressive priorities. In effect, progressives use government organizations to subsidize progressive activism with your tax dollars. If you are wondering how progressives have time to protest all day, block roads, and holler at people trying to go to work, this is how. President Trump has no interest in funding the next generation of otherwise unemployable grievance studies majors. Under the Trump Administration, the Progressive Industrial Complex will have to find its funding elsewhere.

In 2016, President Trump promised to Drain the Swamp, and eight years later, he obviously has a coordinated strategy to accomplish that goal. His four-year “intermission” made President Trump tougher, wiser, and more focused. He is a different man than he was at the beginning of his first term in 2017, which is to be expected, considering what he’s been through since then. Two impeachments, bogus lawsuits, sham trials, gag orders, excessive fines, lawfare, and two assassination attempts are in the rearview mirror. Donald Trump is back in the White House, and based on his first 16 days, it’s clear he is on a mission to save America. Let’s pray he is successful.

Fairfax County School Board Budget Hearing TONIGHT, Tuesday, Feb. 4

The Fairfax County School Board will hold a Public Hearing on its FY 2026 proposed budget TONIGHT, Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the Luther Jackson Middle School Auditorium at 6:00pm.

It’s important that “We the Taxpayers” attend this meeting and register our opposition to an ever-increasing budget and bureaucracy, despite declining attendance, test scores, and achievement. We cannot change the make-up of the School Board that is currently 100% Democrat-controlled until 2027, but we should object to how they waste our money at every opportunity and lay the foundation for a challenge in 2027.
